Center requests art for two exhibits

Call To Artists: Fire, Earth & Fiber IV will be held June 2 through July1, 2006, at the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center in Bigfork. The premise of the exhibition is to showcase artists working in the media of the earth—clay, metal, wood and fiber. The exhibition is a biennial exhibition (occurring every two years).

Specifications: Open to any Montana artists working in clay, wood, metal and fiber. All work must be original, no kits or copied work. Work must be completed in the last three years and not previously shown at the BACC. Work must be ready to hang or display.

Deadline for entries is March 10. For a complete prospectus please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to BACC, Box 734, Bigfork, MT 59911.

Call To Artists: Under Montana's Sky at the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center is a juried theme show focused on the Big Sky from July 7 through Aug. 12, 2006. This year's theme is the ever changing ever present sky.

Montana, known as the Big Sky state is a landscape of fierce thunder clouds, wispy "mares tails" and intense colors. This show will feature the "skyscape" in all its glory—from the eastern front the prairie flatlands. The show is open to all media, and both three- and two-dimensional works. Under Montana's Sky is open to all artists who are residents of Montana. All works need to relate to the theme. Works should be ready to hang and or display. Deadline for entries is March 10, 2006.
