Jack Thompson

Jack Thompson, 71, passed away Dec. 4, 2005, after a lengthy illness.

Jack was born in Burley, Idaho, on Jan. 10, 1934, to George and Sibil Thompson. He was raised in Rupert, Idaho, with brother Glenn and sisters Linda and Susan.

Jack was one of the founding members of the North Valley Search and Rescue, serving as president for the past 20-plus years. He was also involved in various community organizations.

He retired from the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. in the early 1990s.

Jack was loved deeply and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Glenn, his daughter Paula and his son Steve.

He is survived by his daughter Julie Grange and her husband John, of Snohomish, Wash.; his son Allen Thompson and his wife Kristianna, currently stationed at Naval Base Ventura County in California; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 8, 2005, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
