Prayer for wisdom

| April 6, 2005 11:00 PM

I live at 202 Sunburst Drive in Swan Sites. I wish to submit my objection to the proposed Milhous development at Kootenai Lodge. There are too numerous reasons to mention at this time. Most importantly is the historic nature of this property.

I have contact with persons interested in buying this property with the intent of leaving it as is. Therefore Mr. Milhous statement of "saving" it from other development is ludicrous. There are scores of people in the valley with enough "real" money who would love to own this property as it is.

I agree that Debbie and Mark have the right to sell it. However as it is to my knowledge, a national historic registry and all these years had the benefits of that distinction, I don' see how it is possible to just nullify that honor and build "condominiums."

A great writer once said, "pave paradise, put up a parking lot." This is the epitome of greed. Please try to hear the voice of the community. Can we try going down a road that leads to a better conclusion. However, what is the hurry? Something this important must be approa-ched diligently, I pray for wisdom.

Sincerely,

Paul and Judy Nicodemus
