LeRoy Diemert

LeRoy Walter Diemert, 74, of Las Vegas, Nev., and formally of Columbia Falls, died Aug. 31, 2004, due to complications of surgery.

LeRoy was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Sanborn, N.D., where he was raised and attended school. He was in the Army with Company G, of Valley City, N.D., during the Koren War. He later married Donna Merkes on April 21, 1953, in Valley City. He was an electrician with the I.B.E.W for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Columbia Falls.

LeRoy loved Montana, fishing with his family and being with his children. He was a wonderful husband, a great father and a loving grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife Donna; daughter Cindy Dean, of Helena; sons Michael and wife Velia, of Great Falls, Patrick and wife Dorie, of Elk, Wash.; twin sisters Deloyce Wical and husband Loren, of Hastings, Minn., and Dorcye Sauter, of Moorhead, Minn.; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Sept. 25, 2004, at St. Luke's Evangelist Church in Great Falls. Burial will be in Mandan, N.D., at a later date.
