| September 23, 2004 11:00 PM

Jerome (Jerry) Larson, 67, died Sept. 12, 2004, at his home on Flathead Lake following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Helena to Al and Marion Larson. He spent his early years growing up in Great Falls, where he graduated from Great Falls High School. Following high school, Jerry attended two years of college at Montana State College and later served in the Army from 1962 to 1964.

On Jan. 22, 1965, Jerry married his first and only love, Donna Brewster, of Apgar. Jerry and Donna met in 1964 while Jerry was working on road construction in the Fish Creek Campground area of Glacier National Park. To this union, two children were born, Kelli and Greg.

Jerry and his family divided their time between Apgar, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Flathead Lake. Jerry and Donna are best known in the Flathead Valley for the 30-plus years they owned and operated Eddie's Restaurant, Grocery and Gifts in Apgar Village.

Jerry will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He will undoubtedly be remembered as a successful businessman and wonderful husband, father, papa and friend. He is gone from this life but he will remain an inspiration to all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter Kelli, son-in-law T.J. Harrington and their children Braden and Austin, of Butte; son Greg Larson, of Apgar; sister Rita, of Helena; brother-in-law Neil Brewster, of Kalispell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Jerry's life on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at St. Catherine's Catholic church in Bigfork at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Kalispell, 175 Commons Loop, #100, Kalispell MT 59901, or a charity of choice.
