Paul Thomas Lambert, 52, passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1952 in Charleroi, Penn. To Paul and Margaret (Ledna) Lambert.

Paul received his early education before moving with his family to Rialto, Calif. at the age of eight. After high school he attended San Bernardino Valley College. Paul worked as a master machinist for K & N Engineering. On Sept. 14, 1974 Paul married Loretta Davis in San Bernardino. In 1977 they moved to the Flathead Valley, in the Mountain Brook area.

He worked at the Yamaha dealership for a short time before he and a friend opened a machine shop. In 1986 he began work at the Helena Flats School and remained there as the head custodian until his passing.

Paul was a member of the Creston Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. Paul had many interests. As a youth, he raced motorcycles and competed in Flat Track successfully for many years. He loved music and playing the guitar, and he was an excellent bowler. But mostly, he loved his family. Paul was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie. He is survived by wife Loretta of Kalispell, son David and his wife Michelle Johnson of Phelan, Calif., daughter Cindy Bland and her husband Tony, and daughter Brady Jones all of Kalispell, and daughter Dee Pitman of Ridgecrest, Calif. He is also survived by nine grandsons, Dustin and Bryce Landon, David, Ty and Michael Johnson, Chaz and Tyler Pitman, Tanner Levinski and Jason Jones and one great-grandson, Benjamin Johnson. He is also survived by his parents, Paul and Marge Lambert; one brother, Michael and his wife Shelly Lambert; three sisters, Margaret and her husband Kevin Kirk; and numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Vic Langhans as Celebrant. The family suggests memorial gifts be given in Paul's name to the Creston Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
