Beulah Fox

Beulah K. Shamp Fox died peacefully in her sleep Oct. 22, 2004, in Clarkston, Idaho. She was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Mount Vernon, Wash., to Daniel and Mary White, ninth of 10 children.

Beulah graduated from Mount Vernon High School with high honors in 1934. She later attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, Wash., where she met and married Lionel Claude Shamp in 1943.

In 1953, the family moved to Columbia Falls, where they lived for many years. After Lionel's death in 1984, she married Jess Fox in 1989 and moved to Arden, near Colville, Wash. Following Jess' death in 1996, she moved to Clarkston to be near her daughter, Judy Guenther.

Beulah enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, quilting and her grandchildren. She always tried to live a life pleasing to her Lord and Savior, as this was very important to her. She belonged to the Assembly of God churches in Columbia Falls, Colville and Lewiston.

She is survived by her brother, Jim White, of California; sister Alice White Fundom, of North Carolina; daughter Judy, of Clarkston; sons Jim, of Cheney, Wash., Pete, of Sedro Wooley, Wash., and David and John, both of Columbia Falls; stepchildren Diana Matney, Virgil, Terry and Gary Fox, all of the Colville area; 20 grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at 11 a.m. (today) at the Assembly of God Church in Columbia Falls with internment to follow in the Woodland Cemetery there.
