Disappointed rodeo fan

To the editor,

We, as a family and friends, have been attending the Heritage Rodeo for more than 10 years. We were very disappointed, as most of the crowd was.

First of all, no one in Columbia Falls sold tickets to the event. The closest one was West Trends, out of our city limits. The local Chamber of Commerce had no information on it.

The so-called rodeo announcer was the worst we ever heard. He didn't announce where the riders were from. He was not enthusiastic at all.

No Montana or Canadian flags were seen. One bareback rider. The whole competition was very amateurish. No one in the crowd knew of a drawing, as we had no ticket stubs, but they drew one number. At least 30 or more people who were sitting by us, mostly old timers who knew better, voiced their opinion to give the rodeo a no show next year unless some improvements are made.
