State land meetings

| July 13, 2004 11:00 PM

Another round of public meetings worth attending next week involve the state trust lands currently under study. On Monday, the public is welcome to attend the Advisory Committee meeting at North Valley Hospital from noon to 8 p.m., with an opportunity for questions at the end of the session.

On Tuesday citizens may attend the committee meeting at Mountain West Bank from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., again with a chance for questions at the end. That evening, a session from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mountain West Bank is slated for public input for issues such as wildlife, fire, economics, land use, recreation and water on the 13,000 acres of school trust land surrounding Whitefish.

Don't be left out of the process. A sincere effort is being put forth to allow everyone to speak their piece about state lands.
