| August 11, 2004 11:00 PM

Steven James Buller, 16, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident on July 31, 2004.

Steven was born Aug. 29, 1987, in Kalispell to Leland and Melody Buller. He attended Creston and Bigfork elementary schools, Bigfork Middle School and Kalispell Junior High School.

Steve played basketball for Bigfork Elementary and Kalispell Junior High School. He loved the outdoors, hunting with his dad and close friends, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping, horseback riding, and snowboarding. He was never afraid of hard work, and showed it as he spent each day farming with his dad.

What set Steve apart was his thoughtful, loving heart, his willingness to help others, his sense of humor and his mischievous tendencies. Steve surrounded himself with family and friends, and the time he spent with them was his greatest joy. Steve's motto was "You only live once, and you have to live life to the fullest," and that was how he lived and loved.

Steve is survived by his mother, Melody Buller, and her fiance, Mike Murberger, of Bigfork; father Lee Buller and wife Lisa; sisters Stacy and Meaghan Buller, and Shannon Shearer and brother Ryan Shearer, all of Kalispell; grandparents Bob and Cookie McCandless, of Kalispell, Art and DeeDee Walls, of Banning, Calif., and Carl and Sandie Hogman, of Coram; and great grandmothers Martha Jones and Madeline Casey, of Kalispell, and Marie Eubanks, of Rialto, Calif.

He is also survived by aunts and uncles Twila Buller, Andy and Brenda Buller, Ellen Gibson, Frieda and Ken Kauffman, Sarah and Phil Gunderson, Lena and Rod Dresbach, Neal McCandless, Jennifer and Creg Dieziger, Julie and David Mailman, Debbie and Jim Corbett, Amy and Solomon Pannell, and Brandon Walls; and many cousins, great aunts and uncles, and friends too numerous to name.

Steve was preceded in death by grandparents Jeff and Priscilla Buller, and great grandfather William Jones, Jr., who all held a special place in Steve's heart.

Services were held Aug. 9 at the Majestic Valley Arena. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Steven Buller FFA Scholarship Fund at Glacier Bank.
