New neighbors

The Hungry Horse News has a couple of new neighbors, and we're glad to have them.
Pamida will open a new store in the former Gary and Leo's grocery store next month. It'll be nice to see that building occupied. It was beginning to turn into a bit of an eyesore. The store should also fill a nice little niche market for the folks who dread the drive to Kalispell to shop.
We'd also like to welcome Carvers Unlimited. It, too, is occupying a space that was beginning to look a little on the haggard side. It sounds like Carvers makes a unique product and utilizes one of our best resources here—wood.
Both businesses also generate jobs and increase the tax base, all of which is good for Columbia Falls.
