The final fun day for junior golf will be on August 11th with prizes and awards for all the various age groups.
Successful Junior Golf Season
The Gary Norby Junior Golf Foundation uses funds raised during the Bulldog Open to sponsor Junior Golf. The Golf Professionals do the all the instruction for the program for a minimal payment from the Foundation. The countless hours of organization and instruction for the program is appreciated by all the participants as well as the Norby Foundation Board of Directors. This year nearly 250 junior players benefited from the junior program. Thanks to staff and parents for a great job again this year.
Club Championship Sign ups available
The 2004 club championship for all divisions will take place on August 14-15. The regular, senior and junior flights will all take place on Saturday and Sunday and all members are eligible to participate. The entry fee of $35.00 is used to pay out prizes for various flight and champions in each division. A BBQ will be held on Sunday for entrants following the final round.
Member / Guest Tournament
August 28-29
This year the member/guest tournament will be held earlier than usual with play taking place on August 28-29 just before the Labor Day weekend. Registration forms will be available in the Golf Shop for this popular event, so get your favorite non-member and enter the member/guest for 2004.
Rounds played exceed expectations
The Whitefish Lake Golf Course continues to be a busy attraction for visitors to the area. Guest and members are enjoying a great season of perfect golf weather and hitting the links on a regular basis. In fact, the number of rounds played are heading for record numbers, and exceeding the estimates used for budgeting. All of those players are experiencing the best playing conditions available anywhere with near-perfect greens and fairways.
High School Golf Meeting
All players planning to participate in High School golf this fall are asked to attend a 7 p.m. meeting on August 10th at the high school. Physical forms, consent forms and handbooks are available at the Golf Shop and all need to be signed by the first day of practice. Practice begins on Monday, August 16th at 9:00 a.m. The first tournament is scheduled for August 23-24 in Great Falls.
Couple's Event
The August Couple's event will be held on Sunday, August 22nd. Entry forms will be available in the Golf Shop. These events continue to grow in popularity with increasing numbers of participants each month.
