Anthony “Tony” McArter

Anthony died at his home in Columbia Falls on Oct. 25, 2018. He was born July 4, 1956 in Tucson, Arizona to Jack and Freda McArter and grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Tony served in the U.S. Army as an LPN from 1977 until retiring in 1995.

Tony’s greatest joy was his family, and he spent many hours coaching youth sports, leading clubs scouts, judging speech and debate meets and joining the Montana Civil Air Patrol. He gave generously his time and experience to young people, friends, and family his whole life. He had many ranks, titles and degrees in his life, but the one he was most proud of was Grandpa.

Tony is survived by his wife Sandra of Columbia Falls, daughter Jennifer (Ricky) of Carriere, Missouri; daughter Sarah (Nikhil) Kamat of Columbia Falls; and son Richard (Alexa) of Denver Colorado; and nine grandchildren.

Memorial services were Saturday, Nov. 3 at Columbia Mortuary. A reception followed at The Columbia Falls Senior Center. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family.
