Soccer clinic coming up

| June 18, 2021 12:05 PM

Columbia Falls Wildcat Soccer will be hosting its second annual “Striker and Keeper Clinic” June 29-30.

The two day event will be the program’s first ever all-female coached clinic offered to both boys and girls.

It will be led by former professional women’s soccer players Kendall Johnson and Haley Kopmeyer, who will be assisted in teaching the clinic by a host of up and coming local talent.

Several of the assistant coaches include Columbia Falls’ Josie Windauer who plays for the University of Montana Grizzlies, Flathead’s Skyleigh Thompson who will join Windauer to play for the Grizzlies this fall, and Whitefish goalkeeper Sami Galbraith who has committed to playing for North Idaho College.

The two day clinic, which will begin Tuesday morning and end Wednesday noon and will include playing under the lights, is a chance to offer middle to high school aged students athletes the opportunity to learn from professional level players who’ve had experience competing around the world.

The cost is $50 per person. To register for the event, which will take place at Flip Darling Memorial Field in Columbia Falls, go to cfws-camp-2.eventbrite.com.
