Wildcat swimmers do well at meet in Havre

The Columbia Falls swim team had a good individual showing at the Havre Duals Swim Meet on Saturday after five Wildcat swimmers took first in their events. Overall, the Columbia Falls boys team took second place and the girls took third.

Emerald Templin and Kathleen Keith led the Lady Wildcats, with Templin taking first in the 200 meter IM with 2:53.64, and Keith taking first in the 100 meter breaststroke with 1:32.20.

Peyton Malmberg, Connor Cheff and Thane Borgen led the Wildcat boys, with Malmberg taking first in the 200 meter IM with 2:51.78, Cheff taking first in the 100 meter breaststroke with 1:20.05, and Borgen taking first in the 200 meter freestyle with 2:41.86.

The boys A relay team also took first in the 200 meter medley relay and the 400 meter freestyle relay.

The girls A relay team took third in the 200 meter medley relay with 2:38.82 and third in the 200 meter freestyle relay with 2:27.69. The B relay team took fourth in the 400 meter freestyle relay with 6:41.94.

Eloise McKeon took second in the 200 meter freestyle with 2:43.17, and third in the 100 meter freestyle with 1:12.62. Norah Bagley took second in the 100 meter butterfly with 1:23.33, and fourth in the 200 meter freestyle with 2:47.35. Jolie Friar took third in the 100 meter butterfly with 1:41.15. Templin took third in the 400 meter freestyle with 5:24.45. Kaylee King took fourth in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:29.60, and fifth in the 200 meter freestyle with 2:56.58. Evalyn Hull took sixth in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:35.76, and sixth in the 100 meter breaststroke with 2:14.88. Emma Stoddard tied for seventh in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:37.83.

Adam Schrader took second in the 50 meter freestyle with 27.30, and second in the 100 meter freestyle with 1:01.37. Cheff took second in the 400 meter freestyle with 5:05.41. Borgen took second in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:18.28. Jonathan Blankenship took third in the 200 meter freestyle with 3:04.09. Malmberg took third in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:21.22. Jack Phung took fourth in the 100 meter freestyle with 1:17.69, and seventh in the 50 meter freestyle with 33.75. Quinn Clark took fourth in the 100 meter backstroke with 1:46.99, and eighth in the 50 meter freestyle with 35.02.
