Glacier All-Stars baseball

| August 15, 2012 7:45 AM

The Glacier Babe Ruth U14 state championship baseball team finished its season with a second-place finish at the Pacific Northwest Regional tourney in The Dalles, Ore. This trip was made possible by the contributions of many local businesses and organizations.

Specifically, we would like to thank Bruce McEvoy and the Babe Ruth organization, Columbia Falls Police Association, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Kalispell Police Association, Whitefish Credit Union, Wells Fargo, Swank Enterprises, The Bulldog Saloon, Glacier Medical and Shirleen Baker.

Also, Cenex Zip Trip of Whitefish and Western Building Center in Columbia Falls for allowing space to run a car wash, and all the locals and travelers who came by to wish us luck. The Blue Moon Rodeo, who allowed us to run a split-the-pot, and our local newspapers for following our journey.

It is inspiring to see such generosity, and we want you to know we represented Montana proudly with our strong finish while receiving many compliments on the level of sportsmanship we displayed. Thank you for your support.
