City of Columbia Falls The City of Columbia Falls is currently accepting applications for the positions listed below. Wastewater Treatment Operator Wastewater Treatment Operator applicants must be able to perform a variety of tasks including operating, maintaining and controlling wastewater treatment and collection systems; to clean, purify, and remove harmful domestic and industrial pollution from the wastewater at the City's Treatment Facility and collection systems. In addition, the position must be able to operate pumps, conveyers, blowers, belt filter press, and other equipment utilized in the treatment and collection of wastewater. Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of MT Commercial Driver's License and be certified as a MT Wastewater System Operator, Class 1. Preferred applicants should have at least two years of wastewater experience. This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $18.16 /hour and excellent benefits. Applicants must be able to pass an oral interview, written exam, physical fitness exam, psychological exam and an extensive background investigation. The City of Columbia Falls Police Department is a member of the Montana Law Enforcement Test Consortium. POST certified applicants are preferred. This is a full-time position with an entry wage of $20.06/hour, and excellent benefits. Police Detective Detective applicants must be POST certified and have previous detective or investigation experience. Performs technical law enforcement work as a uniformed (unless otherwise designated) Police Officer in the investigation of crime and the detection and prevention of violations of the law. Performs police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activites. Applicants must be able to pass an oral interview, written exam, physical fitness exam, psychological exam and an extensive background investigation.
